Boys Basketball

Silver Creek defeated Madison with a final score of 69 to 56. A congratulation is in order for Madison’s Luke Miller who scored his 1000th career point during the game. Miller is the 16th player in school history to do so.

Southwestern took on Milan where they came out victorious with the final score of 84 to 60. Austin Kramer led the Rebels with 23 points, Foster Mefford 16 points, Matthew Williams 15 points, Billy Eccles 14 points, Parker Davis 11 points. Southwestern is now 11-3 in their season and Milan falls to 6-7 in their season. The two teams are now at 2-1 in the ORVC.

Boys Basketball

Southwestern defeated Mitchell 87 to 40. Colton Cloud led the Rebels with 17 points, Foster Mefford 11, Parker Davis 10, Matthew Williams 9, Zach Cole 8, Mitch Mingione 7, Billy Eccles 5, Hunter Wiseman 4, Bryce Hatton, and Jamison Lewis both with 2 for the Rebels. Southwestern moves to 12-3 in the season.

North Harrison defeated Madison in HHC Action with a final score of 61 to 44. With this loss, Madison is now 10-4 in the season, North Harrison moves to 12-3 in the season. Luke Miller had 18 pts and Nick Center with 10 pts. In the loss to North Harrison

Madison Lady Cubs defeated Southwestern with the final score of 61 to 38.

Wrestling:

The 2021 Wrestling Sectionals took place on Saturday at Jennings County High School. The Madison Cubs placed second in the Sectional with the final cumulative score of 211. Ten Madison wrestlers are now moving on to regionals. Southwestern placed 8th and will have one wrestler move onto regionals.

Madison:

  • Berry finished 3rd in the 195lb weight class.
  • Skinner finishes as a runner up in the 170lb weight class
  • Youngblood finishes as runner up in the 182lb weight class.
  • McCarty finishes as runner up in the 160lb weight class.
  • Stockdale finished 3rd in the 152lb weight class.
  • Richards finished 6th in the 145lb weight class.
  • Wilhite finished 4th in the 138lb weight class.
  • Burkhardt wins over #1 seed in the 126lb weight class.
  • Walls took the 120lb title win.
  • Bilz finished as runner up in the 106lb weight class.
  • Berry wins by pin in 1st period in semifinals at 195lb weight class.
  • Wilhite at 138lbs and Stockdale at 152lbs won their consol semifinals matches.
