Additional Child Molestation Charges Placed On North Vernon Man

Anthony has been charged with another warrant out of Jennings County.

(Jackson County, Ind.) - On Wednesday, February 19, Indiana State Police arrested Jon W. Anthony, 21, of North Vernon on charges coming from Jackson County of one count of Child Molesting and one count of Child Solicitation.

These charges came after an investigation into allegations made against Anthony, after further investigation into these allegations it was found that Anthony had contacted two children under the age of 14 on various social media accounts.

He even met with one of the victims and had sexual contact with the victim in Jackson County. Anthony allegedly attempted to solicit the second victim for the purpose of engaging in sexual contact.

He was then arrested and incarcerated in the Jackson County Jail.

Now, Anthony has been charged with another warrant out of Jennings County. He now faces two additional counts of Child Molesting and one count of Sexual Misconduct with a Minor.

These new charges stem from the same investigation where Anthony allegedly contacted the underage victims on social media. He often contacted the victims while stating he was a hairstylist and wanted to meet them to cut their hair, then allegedly had inappropriate contact with the victims when they met.

The new warrant has been served on Anthony while he remains in the Jackson County Jail. After his initial hearing in the Jackson County Circuit Court, Anthony will soon face an initial appearance in the Jennings County Circuit Court.
