All-way stop coming to U.S. 421 at 3rd Street in Downtown Madison

Installation of the all-way stop is expected to take up to one day,

                                           

(INDOT) is scheduled to install a new all-way stop along U.S. 421 in Jefferson County.

On or after Tuesday, October 13, crews will install an all-way stop at the intersection of U.S. 421 and East Third Street in Madison.

Installation of the all-way stop is expected to take up to one day, weather permitting. This change is aimed at addressing speeds and improving overall safety for drivers and pedestrians at the intersection. Drivers should use extra caution in the area while motorists adjust to the new traffic pattern.

INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, use extra caution, and avoid distractions when traveling in and near work zones. All work is weather-dependent, and schedules are subject to change.
