(Jackson County, Indiana) - Department of Transportation contractor Force Construction Company is scheduled to close State Road 11 (Walnut Street) just south of U.S. 50 on or after Monday, June 30, to complete a box culvert replacement project in Seymour.

The closure will take place on S.R. 11 between North Park Drive and South Park Drive near Gaiser Park. S.R. 11 is expected to reopen in mid-August, weather permitting. During the closure, motorists should use the official detour which follows U.S. 50 to I-65 to S.R. 250.

This project is part of a $1.3 million contract awarded to Force Construction in September 2024. INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, use extra caution, and avoid distractions when traveling in and near work zones. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
