Early Morning Search Warrant by Scott County Deputies Lands Two in Jail

(Public's Help Needed in Identifying Possible Stolen Jewelry and Collectibles)

Scott County- Wednesday morning around 6:00 AM, deputies from the Scott County Sheriff's Office executed a search warrant at 6438 Sanders Road, Austin. Corporal Paul Clute received information of alleged drug dealing and possible stolen property on the property. An investigation was conducted that led to the arrest and search warrant. A search was completed, and deputies arrested Ricky Lawless, 43 of Austin, IN, (occupant of home). He was arrested on a Warrant for Dealing in Methamphetamine, (Three Counts), and new charges of Maintaining a Common Nuisance and Possession of Methamphetamine. While executing the search warrant deputies also located and arrested Kelly Campbell, 32, of Austin, IN, (occupant of home), on Maintaining a Common Nuisance, Possession of Paraphernalia and Possession of Methamphetamine.

While searching the residence deputies located Methamphetamine and Paraphernalia. Deputies also located several pieces of jewelry, collectible stamps, coins, and paper currency that deputies are asking folks to identify if they or someone they know have had recent thefts.

Anyone that can identify items pictured below are to contact the Scott County Sheriff's Office at 812-752-5550 and set up a time to closely view and positively identify the item or items. When you contact the sheriff's office you can ask to speak to Corporal Paul Clute, Lieutenant John Hartman, or Major Joe Guarneri.

This investigation involved assistance from the Scott County Prosecutor's Office on the search and arrest warrants.
