On January 1, 2024, at approximately 6:30 p.m., Jennings County Deputies responded to a report of a two-vehicle crash on US 50 near CR 20 W. This resulted in the death of the two drivers.

US 50 was closed for approximately two and a half hours for investigation and scene clean up. Jennings County Deputies were assisted at the scene by the Indiana State Police, Rescue 20 EMS, North Vernon Fire Department, North Vernon Police Department, Jennings County Coroner’s Office, and Lucas Towing.
