A golf cart has been determined as the cause of the fire

The historic Trinity United Methodist Church caught Monday evening, the fire was called in just a little after 5 as a Golf cart on fire next to the Chruch and second page went out that the structure was on fire.
Firefighters are still on the scene mopping up hotspots as the size of the building is massive
At this point, investigators have not determined what caused the initial golf cart fire.
The 150-year-old church has gone through many renovations and restoration over the years. Now, the church is facing major damage. The roof collapsed and part of the building is severely damaged. At this point, it's unclear whether its a total loss.
No injuries were reported
The community came out in droves to offer free food and assistance to first responders.
