Firefighters Respond to Electric Vehicle Fire

The incident occurred at State Road 62 and 325.

(Canaan, Ind.) - Canaan Volunteer Firefighters were called to an electric vehicle fire on Sunday night. 

The incident took place at the corner of State Road 62 and State Road 325. 

Firefighters were on the scene for about an hour and the fire was completely extinguished before the vehicle was loaded onto a roll back. Due to potential reigniting of the vehicle, Engine 24 followed the roll back to Madison as a safety precaution. 

No injuries were reported. 

A cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
