ISP: Greensburg Methamphetamine Distribution Ring Disrupted

(Greensburg, Ind.) - Recently, an Investigation by Troopers with the Indiana State Police-Versailles Post resulted in the arrest of suspects involved in the distribution of methamphetamine in Decatur County and the surrounding area.

On November 23rd, Troopers, assisted by the Greensburg Police Department, responded to an apartment on East Street in Greensburg, Indiana after receiving reports of criminal activity taking place. During the course of the investigation, a search warrant was served at the apartment. 

During the search, suspected methamphetamine, marijuana, prescription medications, and drug paraphernalia were located in the apartment. The investigation indicated that occupants of the apartment were obtaining methamphetamine and then distributing it to hundreds of individuals in Decatur County and across southeastern Indiana.

As a result of the investigation, Troopers arrested Ronald D. Lawrence, age 53, Greensburg, Indiana on charges of Dealing Methamphetamine, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Controlled Substance, and Possession of a Legend Drug.

Deanna M. Embree, age 47, was arrested on charges of Maintaining a Common Nuisance, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. 

The case was presented to the Decatur County Prosecutor’s Office which resulted in Jaime L. Huffman, age 48, and Rea D. Frazier, age 45 being charged with Visiting a Common Nuisance as a result of the initial investigation.

The Indiana State Police say they will continue to pursue those involved in the distribution of drugs in our communities.

Troopers with the Indiana State Police-Versailles Post were assisted by the Greensburg Police Department and the Decatur County Prosecutor’s Office.
