Madison-Jefferson Co. Animal Shelter's Pet's Of The Week

By Madison-Jefferson Co. Animal Shelter

Shelter will be closed Monday for Labor day

I'm "HERO".
I have a silly and sweet personality, so please take the time to get to know me.
I don't live up to my name as I'm slow to trust.
But I'll warm up to you and show you the real me.
I would be okay being a farm or outdoor dog, but I want affection too so don't leave me outside by myself.
I walk well on leash and hope to take long walks if my adopters want me to be an indoor dog.
I'm not enjoying being in a kennel at the shelter. You'll see that from the way I behave when another dog gets to go out and I don't.
No cats in my new family please. I'm a hound mix and have a hound's prey drive.
I'm a handsome, 1- to 2-year-old male who weighs 55 lbs.
I have a pretty cream coat with light tan patches in all the right spots.

My adoption fee is $25 plus the cost of my neuter and rabies vaccination.

My name is "MUTT".
I enjoy being carried around by staff members while they're working.
I'd be a great kitten for a family with children who want to play with me.
I'm an affectionate little fellow and have a loud purr.
I hope you plan to spoil me with fuzzy mice toys because they're my favorites.
I enjoy catnip too and you'll enjoy watching me with it.
Yes, I had a brother named Jeff, but he's been adopted and now I'm really lonely.
I'm 5- to 6-months old and just one of many black kittens at the shelter.
Black kittens are often overlooked. We really are beautiful and have great personalities!
So please consider adopting me or one of the other black kittens.
Or even a pair....I'd love to have a friend.

I'm $45 OFF my adoption and neuter fee courtesy of the Jefferson County Humane Society and the shelter.
