Eight other people arrested on various charges
Jefferson County-On March 29th, 2018, a Madison, Indiana man was arrested on a warrant for child molesting after a two day investigation. Eight additional people were arrested on drug related charges at the Thompson Road residence where the warrant was served.
The investigation by Trooper Nate Adams began on March 28th when the Indiana State Police was notified that a juvenile female reported that she had been molested by the same man over a period of four years. The suspect was identified as Mark E. Thacker, age 48, Madison, Indiana. The investigation led to an arrest warrant being issued for Thacker on charges of child molesting, unlawful possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon, criminal confinement, and strangulation.
On March 29th, the arrest warrant was served on Mark Thacker at his residence located at 2027 N. Thompson Road, Madison, Indiana. Upon arriving at the residence, troopers located Thacker along with at least nine other people at the residence. While troopers were at the scene, they observed suspected drugs and drug paraphernalia in and around the residence. That investigation led to eight people being arrested on various charges in addition to Mark Thacker.
