MCHS receives rumors of threats

This is a letter that was sent to parents earlier this morning

Good morning, MCS families,

We wanted to reach out and make you aware that there were rumors this morning of a potential threat at the high school.  We are communicating with all families as we realize there are siblings in other schools.

After a thorough search and investigation, this was determined to be rumors from an overheard conversation regarding school shootings in other states. Students in the office overheard conversations and then took to social media and contacted parents.

Please know that we take any and all information regarding any type of threat seriously and will communicate as quickly and efficiently as possible in the event something arises.

At this time we have found no direct link to any threat within our schools.

Thank you for your trust and partnership with our staff. Safety is always our priority.
