The board of trustees of Madison Consolidated Schools has scheduled a public hearing April 11 to discuss — and receive public input — on a contract that would make Jeffery Studebaker, now acting superintendent, head of the school system for the next three years.
The hearing will be at 6:30 p.m. as part of the board’s regular monthly meeting. The board will vote to accept or reject the contract after the hearing at a date to be determined. The date is required by Indiana law to be at least seven days after the April 11 hearing.
If the contract is accepted by the board, Studebaker’s term as superintendent will be from July 1, 2018 through June 30, 2021.
