(Orange County) - On July 16 at approximately 11:55pm a monkey left the camp at the Patoka Lake Campgrounds.

The monkey got her leash tangled in a branch approximately 30-35 feet up in a tree. A few strategic cuts were made, and the monkey was safely lowered back down to the campsite.

With quick planning from the first arriving units on scene a plan of action was established. Assisting agencies include Orange County Sheriff’s Department, Indiana Conservation, and Indiana DNR.
