More Schools Cancelling Classes For "Day Of Action" Protest

Trimble, Gallatin, Owen locally

It looks like another long weekend for kids in several Kentucky school districts.

A dozen or more schools, including Trimble, Gallatin, Owen, Fayette, Bullitt, Letcher and Grant County schools, canceled classes so their teachers can go to the state capitol and protest.

The latest "day of action" for teachers is set for tomorrow to tell Kentucky lawmakers that teachers want a new state budget that spends more on their classrooms.

Many have asked ...... Why are teachers and staff headed to Frankfort
