Ohio County Tourism Accepting 2024 Marketing Grants Proposals

Applications being accepted now through Dec. 21, 2023.

RISING SUN/OHIO COUNTY, IND: Ohio County Tourism, Inc. is pleased to announce 2024 Marketing Grant opportunities for non-profit/501(c) organizations.  Entities that produce tourism-related events/projects that generate visitors and overnight stays to Rising Sun/Ohio County are eligible to apply. Marketing grants applications will be accepted now through Dec. 21, 2023.

The purpose of the Marketing Grant is to defray marketing costs for brochures, posters, advertising, event signs, banners, etc., that help organizations generate tourism to Rising Sun/Ohio County. Marketing Grants are available up to $5000 per event. Grant funds do not have to be paid back. All events/projects must be completed within 2024.

Applications/guidelines are currently available at the Visitors Center at 217 N. High Street in Rising Sun and on the enjoyrisingsun.com website under the News page. Forms can also be sent by e-mail by sending a request to Kendal Miller, executive director, at kendal@enjoyrisingsun.com. Organizations that received marketing grants in 2023 but did not submitted a final report—or that did not follow grant guidelines--will be ineligible for funding.

Should COVID-19 event restrictions/guidelines be reinstated and cause cancellations, any unused portions of awarded grants will be retained by Ohio County Tourism, Inc.

Mailed applications with an event project, budget, and financial report must be received by Dec. 21, 2023 at 4:00 p.m. Submissions received after this date/time will be ineligible for funding in 2024. Applications will be notified of the board’s decision on or before February 29, 2024.

A signed contract must be completed by all grant awardees, with a final report required within thirty (30) days after the close of the event/project.

For additional information, contact Kendal Miller, executive director at (812) 438-4933, or by e-mail at kendal@enjoyrisingsun.com.
