-UPDATE- One Dead, Several Injuries In Two Separate Accidents In Jefferson Co.

Late afternoon, early evening

-UPDATE ON FATAL ACCIDENT August 23 @ 8:42am-

A two vehicle fatal accident occurred at State Road #62 near the intersection of Olive Branch Road. 

A passenger vehicle driven by Liana Suarez 37, Madison, was North bound on Highway #62 when she went left of center striking a South bound vehicle, head on,  driven by Tanner Boldery 25, Hanover. 

Boldery was pronounced dead at the scene. 

A passenger in the Boldery vehicle, Annabella Hammons 22, Madison, was extricated from the vehicle, and flown from the scene to the University of Louisville Hospital. 

Suarez was transported to KDH-ER by EMS and later flown to Louisville. 

 

-UPDATE ON 56 ACCIDENT August 23 @ 8:50am-

Two separate accidents occurred in Jefferson County Wednesday afternoon that resulted in injuries and one fatality.  Around 4:45pm, a two vehicle crash on Highway #56 near Bee Camp Road.  A passenger vehicle driven by Kenneth J. Long 81, Madison, was East bound on Highway #56 when he went left of center striking a West bound dump truck driven by Roger A. Large 51, Madison.  Long was transported from the scene to KDH-ER and later stat flown to Louisville, Kentucky, with severe leg injuries.  Mr. Large was not injured.

Two separate accidents occurred in Jefferson County late afternoon, early evening yesterday that resulted in injuries and one fatality.

First accident was near 56 and Bee Camp around 5 involved a large dump truck and SUV. Firefighters from the Brooksburg/Milton Township fire company contained a large oil spill from the dump truck. The driver of the SUV was taken to KDH with a serious leg injury. The road was closed for about two hours for cleanup. 

The second was around 6:30 near 62 and Olive Branch Road. One person died and another was flown to U of L Hospital after a head on collision. HWY 62 was also closed for several hours. No other information released.

Will not release any names till "Official Release" from law enforcement.
