Speed is a factor in the crash

Jennings County 911 Dispatch Center received numerous 911 calls regarding a personal injury crash in Campbell Township. Jennings County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the scene. Upon arrival, deputies were directed by witnesses to an unresponsive male who had been ejected from the vehicle during the crash. Immediate medical care was administered however the driver was pronounced deceased a short time later.
The deceased male was identified as Terry Trowbridge, 50, of Norman Indiana. According to witnesses Mr. Trowbridge was driving westbound on US 50 and was attempting to pass another motorist at a high rate of speed. Mr. Trowbridge lost control and left the north side of the highway where his vehicle rolled several times, ejecting Mr. Trowbridge from the vehicle. Mr. Trowbridge was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. Speed and aggressive driving are suspected to be factors.
Mr. Trowbridge’s family has been notified.
