Scott County Sheriff’s Deputy Involved in a Serious Injury Crash

Crash is under investigation

 

                                   

Scott County-On 5-31-2023 at approximately 2:20 pm, a Scott County Sheriff’s Deputy was involved in a serious injury crash while on patrol in Austin, Indiana. The deputy was taken by air ambulance to University Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky for treatment. His condition is unknown at this time. The crash is being investigated by the Austin City Police Department. Please contact the Austin City Police with questions.

UPDATE: Deputy Sheriff Kenneth Black, 58, of the Scott County Sheriff’s Office was seriously injured in the crash. Deputy Black is in stable condition and is being treated at University Hospital in Louisville. The crash remains under investigation, led by the Austin City Police Department.
