St. Elizabeth Dearborn Hospital Earns Prestigious CMS 5-Star Quality Rating for Third Consecutive Time

The hospital system is among a very select few nationwide with three or more locations achieving this recognition.

(Lawrenceburg, IN) - St. Elizabeth Dearborn Hospital has once again earned a 5-Star Overall Hospital Quality Rating from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), marking the third consecutive time the hospital has achieved the highest possible national designation for quality and patient care.

This distinction places St. Elizabeth Dearborn among an elite group of hospitals nationwide. Only 113 hospitals across the country have earned CMS 5-Star recognition three years in a row, underscoring the consistency and reliability of care delivered at the Dearborn campus. St. Elizabeth’s Edgewood and Ft. Thomas campuses in Northern Kentucky also received the coveted CMS 5-Star rating. CMS’ Overall Hospital Quality Star Rating is based on publicly available data and is designed to help consumers compare hospital quality when making healthcare decisions. The ratings use a comprehensive set of measures including length of stay, readmissions, mortality, safety of care, patient experience, and timely and effective care that together paint a clear picture of how well hospitals care for their patients.
