Kentucky households with incomes up to 150% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines can apply for a program to help offset summer cooling costs.

Enrollment for the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program Summer Subsidy begins July 16 and lasts through Sept. 13 or until funds are gone.

The program provides households with a one-time benefit between $50 and $250 paid directly to the applicant’s electric vendor.

Contact your local Community Action Agency office to apply. Call 800-456-3452 or click here to find your local office. Jefferson County residents can apply for the program here.
