Trimble County Emergency Management Course

(Trimble Co.) - Trimble County Emergency Management is looking for people to join them for a class on medical management of chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, and explosive events. The course is August 22 and 23 from eight until five.

The class is open to first responders, healthcare workers, and more. The class needs to have thirty total participants. Right now, they have a count of twenty-three. They just need seven more by August 2.

Topics include Decontamination of victims exposed to a chemical agent, personal protective measures and equipment, identifying and responding to a hazardous threat, and more.

Participants at the event include, fire services, dispatch, private industry, law enforcement, and more.

The course is approved and accredited for continuing education hours from Emergency Nurses Association, American Academy of Family Physicians, and Texas Department of State Health Services.
