Two Harrison County Residents Arrested following Investigation and Search

Stolen Trailer lead to the arrest

Corydon: Troopers with the Sellersburg Indiana State Police Post, All Crimes Policing (ACP) squad arrested two Harrison County residents on Friday, January 5th, following an investigation and search.

As part of an unrelated investigation, the ACP troopers learned of an allegedly stolen trailer at a Lake Road Southeast residence.  They also learned of possible drug activity at the same location.  When the troopers drove past the residence, they could see a trailer matching the description and stopped to speak with the homeowner, 52-year-old John R. Hubbard.  John Hubbard permitted the officers to look at the trailer, which was then confirmed stolen. The troopers contacted the trailer's registered owner, who arrived and advised someone had stolen the trailer the prior night.  As part of the continuing investigation, the troopers learned that 37-year-old Kimberly Rae Cornett was also inside the residence, and officers learned that Cornett was wanted on a Harrison County warrant.

The officers requested and were granted a search warrant for the residence.  As a result of the search, officers located Kimberly Cornett in the basement of the residence.  They also discovered a stolen pistol and a stolen motorcycle.  As the search continued, officers found numerous articles of drug paraphernalia and over 25 grams of methamphetamine packaged in 5 individual baggies, along with other drug-related items.

The two were arrested on the following charges and taken to the Harrison County Jail:

John Hubbard:

  1. Dealing in Methamphetamine - Level 2 Felony
  2. Possession of Methamphetamine - Level 3 Felony
  3. Possession of Stolen Property - Level 5 Felony
