Madison's Ryan Thurston made his last start of the season for the GCL Blue Jays on Friday.  The Blue Jays lost to the GCL Tigers West by a score of 1-0. Thurston worked 4 innings, gave up 2 hits, 0 walks, 0 runs, and struck out 4 batters. Thurston's season total numbers are 30 innings, 15 hits, 7 runs, 3 earned runs, 8 walks and 36 strikeouts.  He ended the season with a 0.90 ERA, 0.77 WHIP, and a .144 batting average against. Friday afternoon, Jimmy Shane, driving his two-race-old, U-1 Miss HomeStreet H1 Unlimited hydroplane, qualified on top of the leader board on the six boat field during the 102nd Metro Detroit Chevy Dealers Gold Cup on Friday. Shane speed was 162.256 mph average of two laps on the 2.72 mile Detroit River course, east of downtown Detroit.
