KHSAA Votes To Delay Basketball Season

The regular eight-week season will begin in January and will run through the end of February.

(undated) – High school basketball season in Kentucky has been delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Kentucky High School Athletic Association’s Board of Control voted today to delay the start of the regular season competition, which was set to begin Monday, will now be pushed back to January 4.

The regular eight-week season will begin in January and will run through the end of February. District tournaments will begin March 1 and regional tournaments will be on March 8.

The state tournaments are tentatively scheduled for March 17-21 and March 24-28 at Rupp Arena in Lexington.
